I want to start a koi fish sleeve and chest piece and I only have around 350 to begin do you think I could start it and get the outline of the fish and the water… ? I want to complete the rest next month when I get more money do you also think that the artist will be okay with this ..?

I have a huge piece on my back & the outline only cost 300 (even though i got it in hollywood) SO yours sounds like it'll probably be about the same size- bring the design to the artist and get a quote- go ahead & start the outline if you can afford it, and just schedule an appointment a month later, the artist should be fine with it since massive tats get done in several sessions anyway. and if you can't get the whole thing just start on a half of the sleeve or something. If you can afford it, a good artist can probably do it in 2 sessions.

Each artist is different. Some like to outline and color different sections at a time. You should have an hourly rate and remember setups take time so more sessions will be slightly higher in total price but you can go for two or three hours at a time usually. Just talk with the artist! Report Abuse
