um, i am planning to get a tatto

next year when i turn 16

and one of my friend told me that

I don't have to have my parents'

permissions if I’m 16 aleady.

So, does that mean once I turn 16,

I can get a tatto right away without my parents'

permission.

Also, does anyone know how much a medium size tatto would cost if I wanna get it on my lower back.

and how long is it going to take to complete the tatoo ?

Does anyone advocate any tattoo shops that’s well-sanitised and their skills are actually good.

btw, will I be rejected if I wanna become a instructor in the future? because since they can't really see my tattoo if i wear t-shirts , so can they still hire me ?

PS. I live in Burnaby ( B.C ) =)

Answer:
It depends on the local laws of Burnaby BC. I was 18 when I got my first tattoo, but the artist never asked for my age nor did he ask for some type of parental permission. I got it in California where you have to be 18 years old or have a parent with you in order to get a tattoo. I paid $150 for my tattoo which measures 2 inches in length, but that was way back in 1995. I got another one on my foot in 2007 which measures about an inch and a half & paid $90 for it. It seems that the prices of tattoos have gone down since 1995 when they weren't quite as popular. ALWAYS ask to see their cleaning equipment. They should have an oven looking thing where they heat treat their guns after EVERY tattoo. A meduim sized tattoo depending on how ornate (plus how many colors you want) it is can last a while (2 hours ). And yes, you can still find a teaching job after you get one. I've been a instructor now for 6 years & one of my tattoos you can clearly see. Good luck.

Answer:
dont know a whole lot about the subject, but i do know that it is a say law issue and each say is different. Its usually after 16 WITH parental approval, and 18 without. You can probably find someone who will do it for you, but if the rents find out they have the ability to sue the crap out of the guy who did it for you. BTW, you really need to consider this hard, cuz tattoos are pretty permanent and they look pretty gross on an 80 year old. just keep that in mind.

Answer:
Nope you’ve to be 18 without parental permission, and Yes you can be a instructor just keep it hidden. I know a lot of teachers that have tattoos some of them cover them up and other don't. =]

It would take about 2-3 hours depending on the colors, and the difficulty.

Answer:
no…no where will give you a tattoo with out parents permission if your 16. and if you use a fake id they’ve the right to call the cops. and yeah you really need to think about it cause tattoos are forever!

Answer:
i am unfamiliar with the tattoo age stipulations in British Columbia… so, you should call a local tattoo shop before you go prancing up there on your 16th birthday anticipating to get a tattoo. it never hurts to ask and, at least you'll know.

… tattoo prices all just depend on

a)tattoo location

b)tattoo size

c)tattoo colouring (a colour tattoo that is the same size as a black and white tattoo will be more expensive)

d)tattoo shading (there is more time involved in the shading of a tattoo- so, therefore, it is more expensive)

e)length of tattoo session.

so. it all just depends. most shops have a 50 dollar minimum sitting fee (at least in the US) so… even if you go and get a microscopic dot on your elbow in black ink… it's going to run you 50 dollars.

….

for your second to last question… i don't know any tattoo shops in your area… so.

and… for your last question… yes. you can. i am currently a grade school teacher and tattoo artist. none of my tattoos are visible to my students and i was hired on the spot. my colleagues know that i have tattoos, but as long as they’re not visible in the confines of the professional enviornment (ie SCHOOL!) then everyone is okay!

good luck!
