I got a tattoo yesterday and the lotion I have to put on it (with vitamin A and D) has cod liver oil in it. Can I pick up something at a local store that's just as good? That's vegan of course.

Answer:
couldnt find any but i found one you can make ?

if you want to make your own ointment, here are the ingredients:

“2 tbsp. st. John's wort

2 tbsp. calendula

2 tbsp. comfrey leaf

2 tbsp. plantain

1 cup olive oil

1 tbsp. vitamin E oil

3/4-1 cup cocoa butter (solid), and grated. The more cocoa butter the harder the salve

Directions:

In a small pot, combine the herbs and oils. Simmer on low heat for about 4 hours to extract the beneficial properties of the herbs into the oil. Don’t let the oil get too hot. Once done, remove from heat and grant the oil to cool. Strain into a clean dry jar, using a cheese cloth or sieve. Pour strained oil back into the pot and add cocoa butter. On low heat, simmer until cocoa butter is totally melted. Pour back into jar and let cool absolutely, then cap tightly. “
