I've also done a couple of friends noses but they cried like girls!

I think it depends on your own pain threshold really…but here's a test..

If you have longish finger nails…put one inside ur nostril and another outside and dig them into the skin a tiny…If it hurts the chances are you’ll be in pain having your nose done…

If you think you can bear it after that …Go for it!!

Honey, any piercing is going to hurt more than a scraped knee. Do you’ve your earlobes pierced? It hurts a tiny bit more than that. It only hurt me for a split second and my right eye watered. If you want to replicate that kind of pain, grab a pair of tweezers, put them in your nose, and try to pull a hair out. The piercing was sore to the touch for a week or so afterwards, but it wasn't too bad.

Of course, I got it done at a proper shop by a trained and professional piercer who used the correct equipment (a hollow needle). If you get it done with a piercing gun at Claire's or the Piercing Pagoda or whatever they've got at the mall, the piercing itself will injured much more and it will be much more painful afterward when the piercing gun causes the cartilege in your nose to shatter, or you get an infection from improperly cleansed equipment or poorly placed jewelry.

Get somebody to go with you. Like I said, it doesn't hurt too badly but waiting is really scary. You'll feel superior if you're holding someone's hand. Just try not to squeeze too hard :)

Also, I have to edit this to add that you shouldn't listen to the girl who states to twist it all the time. That’ll only irritate your piercing and increase your risk of infection or rejection by introducing bacteria from your hands into the healing wound. Try to keep from playing with the jewelry until it is healed, and soak it in a solution of warm water and non-iodized sea salt for five minutes a few times a day. You can dip a cotton ball in the water and then hold that on your nose. The astringent properties in salt will help it heal. You can also use chamomile teabags for this. While alcohol-based solutions like they give you at Claire's may be fine to heal a cut, they're really bad if you want your skin to heal around a piece of jewelry. Take care!

No exageration, I’ve 4 peircings and 4 tatoos, and that injured worse then all of them put together BUT I’ll state, that it just hurts for like 1 second then its over. It hurts sooo bad when it goes through though! Dont tense yourself up, relaxxx, close your eyes, and consider something else. When I got mine done, my eyes were wide open, I was panicked.. but I think if I would have relaxed I would have been ok! Good Luck!! :)

P.S. Make sure you put “Ocean Spray” salt water on it! That kills any type of unwanted bacteria that could cause infection..!! It works wonders, believe me.

no it doesnt injured but for like a second its a really sharp pain. but it makes your eyes water really bad so it looks like you’re crying lol

just make sure you twist it each night and clean it bc its really bad to grow up around the jewelry and if it does–it hurts like heck to get it out!
