I quite like them, my ears are stretch to a 0g and my goal is 3/4th's. But I find it nasty when people don't do it correctly and their ears are all messed up (blowout's and such).

For sizing it really depends on the person, I'm not huge on ears that are much over 1 inch, but each to their own.

im 17(girl) n my gauges are @ 1 inch n 2 sum pple they might seem gross. But i love them w/ all my heart n it took a lot time 2 get 2 an inch. Took me bout 2 yrs.In sum cultures its considered a sign of patience. tip: Dnt b so neg. 2 things u nvr tried or dont know much about. It makes u look ignorant.

I never personally streched my lobes, but I know plenty who have, including my ex husband. I think that it's something that’s cool when you are younger and looks fine on younger people. I am now 30 and a lot of my peers now regret the massive lobes as well as tattoos. I have a friend who had 00 gauge ears that she had surgically removed. The just cut off her lobes basically b/c she was sick of dealing with them. Most of my friends no longer have any piercings, they just outgrew them. Just keep that in mind as you get older. Don't go too massive or you can't get them back to normal size. It might interfere with future job interviews if you're sportin big plugs.

Don't think you are all counter culture with them or with tattoos either. Everyone has them now. You might think about doing more reversable things since you won't be seen as a trendsetter anyhow….then you can have a more typical appearance when you are in middle age.

i don't think it's attractive on either sex.
bcuz then when it's done you can't make your ears grow back like you can if you just wear regular earrings.
and it smells like some has been dead for days when you take them out.
ughh it's nasty.
i dont know why anyone would wanna do that do themselves. it's not cute at all.
