After you get ears pierced how long till you can switch the earing????
Nov 23, 2008
I'd personally recommend 4-6 weeks but most people don't even wait half that time period. As long as it's properly taken care of you could do it in half the time. Like I said it's recommended 4-6 weeks however.
I changed mine in less then a week. I'm impatient as hell though, no excuse just truth. Mine was fine but I also didn't try to gauge it that soon, simply exchanged my size ring for another ring of the same size and properly sterilized, although it was brand new, then put it through.
Ears are actually, IMO, one of the easiest places to take care of a piercing.
Answer: I just got my second hole in my ear lobes. My first ones I got when I was 5 and I don't remember how my mom took care of them. The jeweler told me to wait 6 weeks for these new ones but it's been 3 and I've been taking the earrings out to clean them but I put the same one's right back in. If this is your first time getting your ears pierced I would wait at least 6 weeks before actually changing the earrings because you might be allergic to the new metal you use.
