since we've been roomies, about 2 years now, she's been wearing nothing but high stiletto heel pumps and boots. in fact, yesteray, she just spent $150 on another new pair of pumps. she has the ability to afford it since she started working a M.A.C. that cosmetic boutique. I've seen her hobble home in her stilettos, barely able to walk because her poor feet injured sooo bad. but the next morning she squeezes her poor feet back into another pair and off she goes.

this is a photo of her feet after she had to take her shoes off at a club.

she got mad at me for taking the pic but i thought you all might be inerested to see it…

is it just vanity on her part or is it something more… ?

Answer:
i think that it is pretty much vanity, but i know a lot of girls like your roommate. pretty, smart and seemingly confident young women, but are almost masochistic about how they treat themselves.

i think its basically vanity, but it could something more, emotional or psychological, but not being a psych major or professional, i couldnt say what it is.

Answer:
Hon,She apparently has a self esteem issue and craves the need of approval from guys. But it is an internal thing that her body has to pay the price for. It is sad because our heart is the most important body part !I don”t care how hot people think they look if they’re not nice then they’ll end up alone !

Answer:
Vanity and maybe expected at her job.

I wore heals like that for years.

The second picture shows she has a bunion. Heals will just make it worse. Mine was so bad I actually fell down before.

I had surgery to fix it (very painful) and now no heals over 1 1/2 inches.

Answer:
That is a discusting bunyon lol. i personally love heels but I don't wear them everyday- something about them just makes you feel more confident or something though. Also, with her job, she has to look good and dress up for her work- she's paid to make other people look beautiful

Answer:
It's either what she likes to wear or what she thinks others will find attractive. She could be wearing them for many reasons. Vanity, attention seeking, low self-esteem, etc.

Answer:
She's not even close to pretty man! Those teeth! Bwah. She sounds like one of those women who has to dress like a tramp to get some attention…and does it because she has no respect for herself, sad really.

Answer:
Maybe she feels superior in heels. Or, maybe your a hater. Do you, don't worry about what she does unless she's harming herself or those around her.

Answer:
its a confidence booster for some people . sometimes its what makes them feel pretty to themselfs so i think that might be vanity but hey shes the one paying the price

Answer:
hahaha oww.

prob vanity.

Answer:
I'm thinking vanity. I love heels, but as soon as I see a blister start to form, I go back to my ratty old gym shoes. :p

Answer:
im sorry but your friend isn’t pretty and maybe she spends huge bucks on shoes to compensate for it

Answer:
ow it looks like that hurts

Answer:
i think she has a prob thats more then just vanity. lets say i used 2 b her, k? anyway, yep seen those feet a lot lol there r a lot of girls with feet like that. maybe not as bad, but still, just go 2 a starbucks late sunday morning or early afternoon when all the club girls r hobbling around in their flip flops becuz they just spent 8 hours clubbing in their stilettos. :oP

anyway, its vanity but she has a need 2 b thought of as hot or pretty or at least 2 get attention.

Answer:
I'm sorry but it's stupidity plain and simple!! What you wear shouldn't harm your body and high heels worn on a regular basis are proven to be extremely bad for the back and feet and just by looking at her feet you can she’s going to have problems with them in the future looks like she already has some bunion action going on. But hey, as long as guys find her hot I guess that's all that matters to her. I only wear heels once in a blue moon because I would prefer be comfortable. I think she might be trying to distract people from her face!

Answer:
Yes it's vanity. I'm a professional gal and I wear heels only to work, mainly because I have short legs and it helps elongate them. However, I do wear the correct size of shoe and I do have a desk job, so it's not too horrendous on my feet. For those of you being judgmental about it though, can you honestly say that you don't do things to make yourselves look better? You don't wear make up, or purchase anything nice for yourselves? You don't tan (which can be harmful to your health)? It's the world we live in, and I state let her wear heels! If it makes her feel superior about her appearance, what's the difference? We're all vain in our own ways!
