Hey, i am 18 and i dont have a belly button. Crazy, right?!?! So, i am really self contious and wear like full body suits to the beach and it makes me feal like a freak! What should I do? Is there any way to make my own belly button? I dont even care if it is an inny or an outy!

I feel like a nerd I have to wear a wundsie unerneath my clothes to make sure my shirt doesn't come up… its so embarrassing one time my friend saw it… well exfriend… and you know… so embarrassing.. she told a bunch of people and I ended out switching schools. a lot of people have no bellybuttons.. just tell people you got it pierced and it got infected to you got it removed. or just cut your sisters, mothers, fathers off in the middle of the night and glue it on.. also if someone died they can donate their skin/ belly buttons if you want.. but so much cheaper to cut one off yourself… or even draw a spiral on your belly that could work too.

You can google clinics and things near you, and find out the cost quite easily. Its around the 1000-2000 mark… Obviously don't skimp on quality and expertise, cause the results can vary.
Quite a few people don't have belly buttons for various reasons. Operations, umbilical cord cut to short, or just being left to drop off naturally. Its not that weird. And at least you don't get belly button fluff. I'd think it was rather cool, and definately something interesting.

The umbilical cord is attached to the fetus internally, not externally. The abdominal wall then forms around the umbilicus. Though all fetuses have umbilical cords not all have belly buttons as newborns. When the umbilical cord is cut in a normally developed newborn, a belly button is created. The belly button is just the outward remnant of the umbilical cord in a normally developed newborn. However, if the abdominal wall fails to close around the umbilical cord, it is entirely possible to be born without a belly button. I was born with a hole in my abdomen and my external organs on the outside of my body. The surgeons put the organs back inside and stitched me up. I assure you, I have no belly button and never have!

it would be hard to draw one on, but if your old enough you could honestly try to get a tattoo of one. or you wear long tops all the time and never show your stomach or wear a bikini but i wouldnt do that, or just try not to consider it when your at the beach even though it will be hard. those are the only things i think you can do.

oh my goodness! i have that too! The physician stated that it was because when I was born, they cut my embilical cord so short that there wasn't any scar, or no bellybutton. I have the ability to feel for you, I feel like Kyle XY with no bellybutton… but I've learned to just accept it. And actually a lot of people think its cool. So yeah
