I experieneced minimal pain and anguish….I saw redness for like a day, and no scabbing (that i would picture as a stereotypical scab) and skin has mostly peeled off. I’ve 6 piercings and I have never experienced any infections ever. Is this because my body heals well/I have a strong immune system?

FYI: I wash my tat with spectro-jel 2x a day. (and if i work out.)

I also moisturize with Vaseline Intensive Care (unscented) after I wash and whenever I feel itchy.

Am I doing something wrong?

I think people are thinking you are using actual vaseline when they are saying not to use it. The vaseline intensive care is lotion, not actual vaseline andit's what I used, that or the unscented Lurbiderm is nice too. Sounds like you’re doind well. The only time I washed mine was in the shower in the morning unless it got dirty, but as long as it doesn't seem irritated from too much washing Ihtink everything is fine. It is ideal if it doesn't scab at all, I have never had a tattoo that scabbed. Grats on your tat :D

I just had my second tattoo done and it healed differently to the first one. I had the same problem. It didnt really scab and my skin peeled. Its normal so dont worry.

Sounds mostly normal. One thing I would recommend is not using petrolium based products on it. Go back to your tattoo parlor & get some tattoo goo.

Sounds like everything is going good. I would suggest Aquaphor in place of the vaseline. That's just my opinion though. You apply a tiny bit and keeps it moist all day
