My face has not been oily in over a year, when I started taking birth control and my acne disappeared. I still do not have any acne really, maybe a few bumbs, but for the past few weeks my nose gets really oily out of no where, and my face is starting to as well.
I use powder cover up, Bare Minerals to be exact.

What could be the cause? What can I do?

Answer:
An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details on oily skin log on to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/

Answer:
To solve it, get oil blotting paper, it absorbs the oils from your face. I use it, I don't know what I'd do without it now. Wash your face, get pore cleaning medicines, Neutrogena has it. Your foundation could also be a cause, don't use it one day–might show a difference.

Answer:
These are the possible causes:
Your make-up.
The pillow that you sleep in(it absorbs the oils and dirt from your face) , have you washed it?
Have you washed your face each night? and every morning?

Make sure your face gets washed with a cleanser twice a day.

edit: Erica said to purchase oil blotting paper- it helps a lot. I highly recomend those. good luck
