So I got my seventh piercings this weekend, each one in the earlobe so it's partially normal flesh and partially cartilage.

I had it done at a tattoo parlor the proper way. However, they're bleeding!

They're still hurting to the touch, too, but I guess that's normal.

I've had a cartilage piercing for four weeks now and that one is doing perfect. It's just these two that are bothering me to pieces.

If it's an infection, what can I do to properly get rid of it without removing the ear rings? They were expensive.

As of currently, I'm cleaning them with wound-spray (neosporin I suppose is the word).

Answer:
The bloody crust is pretty normal. You might have nudged it in your sleep or something: nothing to worry about, seeing as they're still new.

Don't pick the crust off, just soak it in warm salt water solution.

Cartilage piercings can hurt for months, I got my industrial done nearly 3 months ago, and it still hurts! The other week I nudged it with my straightener and it bled, so it's just a matter of being realllllly careful.

EDIT: “Wash them with antibacterial soap then clean them alcohol and use a triple antibiotic ointment on them do this 3-4 times a day”

Nononono. Alcohol on its own is enough to harm the healing tissue, leaving it raw and open to infection. So doing that three times a day, plus antibacterial soap (which is also strong) is going to make your piercings reallly sore, and make healing a lot longer than it should take.

Your body probably isn't taking to the new piercings too well. However, if you’re pretty keen on keeping them, here's a couple of things you should be doing.

Avoid cleaning the piercing too much - this could be irritating the wound even more. Once or twice per day is enough. Don't touch them or get things (hair, clothing) caught in them if you can help it.

Sea salt soaks. Dissolve a small amount of sea salt in warm/hot water, and soak the piercing for ten minutes each day. They really do help the healing process, and it helps clean the piercing as well.

It could just be something of a scab, your body trying to close up the hole… I've had those in nearly all of my piercings.

Try loosening the earring and putting a bit of Polysporn(I think that how you spell that) on the back of your ear, and try to twirl it around if it doesn't injured unbelievably. If it starts to help, over a few days/week, then try to apply it to the front.

Good luck <3

Wash them with antibacterial soap then clean them alcohol and use a triple antibiotic ointment on them do this 3-4 times a day make sure you keep them turned to keep the holes open but if you’ve 7 piercings you probably already know that, just follow these steps and they should be healed in 3-4 days oh and try not to lay on them when you sleep :) Hope this helped !!

Answer:
Generally if you have bleeding for several days, a small blood vessel may have been grazed. Normally, this stops and it heals normally. However, i recommend using only a sea salt/water mixture on piercings, or as a fast and simple alt, saline solution. It does not confuse your PH levels and it is a natural way to sanitize new piercings. Neosporin on new piercings is a no no…. it fights off bacteria but it also kills the good bacteria and your body just gets some mixed signals.

Although this is a bit rare, I’ve an issue where I have the ability to not heal piercings in my right cartilage anymore to save my life. It is not even the side I sleep on and oddly, it did not happen until I had huge surgery on my right leg. Maybe a coincidence, but the body is an odd vessel.

Watch the piercings carefully and if they still give you problems in a week, I'd take them out, a good piercer should have no issues sterilizing the expensive jewelry you purchased and giving you a break.

I always do.
