Is it okay to get more than one cartilage piercing done at a time, on the same ear? I want to get three done at the same time. Will that shatter my cartilage? I don't really care if it hurts, though. I just want to know if I'll get damaged or if they'll even let you do it. I'm not sure if I'm getting it with a gun or a needle, though. Thanks in advance!

Answer:
Two at the same time is usually fine, three might be pushing it. Remember, healing a wound takes a toll on your body. Too many at a time can result in a longer, more difficult healing time.

Definitely go with the needle. Guns are horrible. They can't be sterilized, they create crush wounds, which are hard to heal. The jewelry they come with is totally wrong. And they have the ability to actually fracture your cartilage! Read more about them here:

The needle is so much safer. It's absolutely sterile in a professional setting, and actually hurts less! That's right, the clean cut method of the extremely sharp, tri-beveled, hollow piercing needle hurts less than the jagged ripping and tearing of the piercing gun.

Answer:
I'd advocate against getting any more than 2 piercings on the same ear per visit, to reduce the amount of trauma the ear has to go through.

You could go back a few weeks later to get the third, however.

Also cartilage piercings need to be done with a needle. Using a gun raises the possibility of damaging the cartilage.
