I'm planning on getting my tongue pierced this day. I've been shopping around for prices and the average price that I've been getting is $40+ (including jewelry).(I live in south florida).
There’s one place called My Tattoo Shop that is charging only $10 for the tongue piercing and that’s including jewelry. I asked them if the needles are sterile and if they use one time throw away needles and they answered yes to both questions.

Should I trust getting my piercing there?

Has anyone got a piercing from them before? (they have a couple of locations)

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Answer:
I'd be very leery of a place that was as affordable as that. Good quality implant grade steel jewelry isn't cheap at all, so the shop in question probably gets not so good jewelry. It's best to have a suitable quality piece of jewelry because your skin is less apt to have adverse reactions to it, it won't fall apart, etc.

You should ask how often they do spore tests in their autoclave [weekly is best], amongst other things. The link I'm providing has all of the things you should look for in a piercing shop.
