ok i am getting my first tattoo soon. i just need to decide where i want it. it is between the back of my upper arm, or down my side like on my rib cage. i really need some help. well you guys tell me what you think? maby give me some pros and cons of each? thanks! also the pain is only temporary the tat will last me hole life so i dant care if one spot hurts more then the other.
and, i am getting my last name… i know everyon has it but i am very proud of it. and it is 8 letters, im thinking cursive if its on my side and more of a block if its down my arm.

back of the arm.

PROS: less high-priced, quicker, less painful, able to be shown off more

CONS: less choice as to font, not quite as badass, smaller therefore less visible from across the room.

Down the side.

PROS: bigger and more visible, more freedom with lettering, more badass,

CONS:more expensive, more time, less able to be shown off, more painful.

alright, here's where you decide.

1. You said that the pain didn't matter because “You gotta bear it to wear it” right? its gonna be there forever, so whats a couple hours of pain?

2. Cost, again, youre gonna have it forever, so I strongly urge you to remember this ” the bliss of a cheap price wears off well before the sting of a bad tattoo”. whether you decide to go with the arm or the ribs, dont go with the lowest price because you do in fact get what you pay for.

3.when you look at a tattoo in both places, which one do YOU think is cooler?

4.Do you have a job where a visible tattoo is a no no? If so, i would go with the side.

If you’re a male, personally I think it would look pretty sick down your arm. But if you're female, down the ribcage is far more attractive. I’ve a tattoo artist boyfriend and a lot of artists don't think for females tattoos on the arm are very attractive, unless you're getting sleeves. But yeah, that's just my thought.

I believe you should get it on your upper arm but think about the font I don't think that’s something you’ll really like the pro about it would be more people would be able to see it unless I mean you walk around without a shirt on but rib cage isn’t a very good place.

Its really hot for a guy to get a tattoo down their back.

Getting a tattoo doesnt hurt. I have one on my lower back and one on my ankle. It feels like constant pinching in a concentrated area.
