A Cross with flames wrapped around it…with the phrase A Blaze I Can't Contain circling the Cross.
But now I'm just down to the where. Ideas are….top of left arm ( where it meet my shoulder), left ribs or maybe somewhere on my leg. Thinking I'd like to be able to cover easy when times call for it.

What do you think. I've wanted a tattoo since I was 10 or 12. And known it would be this tattoo for 3 to 4 years.

Answer:
I think it sounds awesome! But what's really important is, what do YOU think?

Considering you've been wanting a tat since you were ten, and having known exactly what you've wanted it to be for over four years, there is just no question that you MUST get it.

A lot of people get tattoo's because they think they're “cool”. Of course, tattoos ARE cool, but you shouldn't go getting tattoos just because it's “in” or “popular”, or to impress someone else.

You're doing the right thing, by getting a tattoo you've thought about for a long time. It should be something that has meaning to you. It should be important. I think the cross is a great idea, if you're religious. The flame would signify your passion for your faith.

Personally, I wouldn't use abbreviations in a tattoo. It's your call, but I would advocate “A Blaze I can’t contain” instead of “can't”. That's just me.

As for WHERE you want the tattoo, I'm guessing you put a lot of thought into this as well, since you'd been considering getting ink done for so long. I think the bicep would be nice (top of left arm), or maybe even do it above your chest (like a necklace), with the cross in the middle and the flames coming up on each side.

I hope it comes out nice, and you're happy with it!

And don't worry about the pain. It only hurts a tiny. Mostly, it just feels like a strong “tingle”.

Peace!

Answer:
Well, just fyi, if you get it any of those places and you gain weight at any point for the rest of your life, it's going to end up looking pretty awful. The safest place in terms of not stretching out would be the top of the arm, but you also wouldn't be able to wear really short sleeves to work or tank tops if you needed to cover it.
