i have had it since the end of april this year and i just dont care about it anymore at all i cant stand it

i do smoke and i am afaid that it will get infected if i take it out how long will it take to close it please help em

all piercings do close up it might take them a while but it will close up! when you take it out like if you smoke a cig after you take it out just clean it and and every time you do smoke clean it and you should be fine as long as you keep it cleaned i don't think it will get infected honestly! it might close up and then again it might not it just depends on your body really and if it does close up then it does! but just keep it clean for now and till it closes up or if it ever does but which i think it will though! its just like a nose, earring or any type of earring it will end up closing how long will it take i don't know! if you didn't gauge it like if you only had a 14g it will close but if you went to a larger gauge it might not though!

It wont get infected… It's hard to infect your tongue.

It shouldn't take more than a day or so to close up. Some people can take them out a day or two and some can only take them out a 1/2 hour without it closing up so I'd state a day is a safe bet. It wont be like, months or anything.

It depends on how long you’ve had it. My bf had his for 3 months. A ball fell of and he took it out for 2 hrs. It was shut. If you’ve had it for a while and it is healed it wont get infected by smoking.

I'm a smoker, I took my tongue ring out with no ill effects at all. It never fully closed, though. I have the ability to still push air bubbles through it and put a ring back in it if I wanted to, but I don't. Go ahead and take it out. You won't get an infection.
