Weight gain or weight loss?
Mar 22, 2009
I have yet to get a tattoo, and I have been weighing (haha no pun intended) my options. I’ve made up my mind on location, which is lower back, and my my design ( http://i673.photobucket.com/albums/vv100… ) and i'm not posting a picture asking you if you enjoy it or not, my concern isn’t that.
life is rough haha, and as much as i would like to remain the same weight i am now, it probably wont happen. i'd like to know from people with some experience (even if you saw it happen to a friend) to tell me how a lower back tattoo would change with weight gain or weight loss of lets say…. 20-30 pounds?
Answer: Agree with everyone above. I’ve a tattoo that begin at the small of my back and goes up my spin. I’ve gone through the typical weight gains/losses and my tattoo was never affected. That’s one of the best places to get a tattoo and not have weight gain/loss affect it, only thing that will change is the size of the butt below it! Just make sure to keep lots of lotion on it if you ever do get pregnant, just like your tummy you want it to keep its elasticity so it doesn't stretch.
Good luck with that tat!
Answer: im lovin that design! that stated, i also have a lower back tattoo and ive had 2 children. i gained 60-65lbs with each of them and then lost it all afterwards as well. thats pretty significant weight gain and loss and my tattoo has not been affected. you should be fine!
Answer: not much would happen unless you gain a lot of weight the tattoo will look smaller then if you lose a lot weight it will look like it is taking up more space than when you got it. You’ve gain way more weight than 30 lbs to notice.
Answer: why don't you just search the questions that are already existing on this topic?
quit asking obvious questions if you can just look it up.
Answer: 20 - 30 lbs…. no problem!! it would have to be a lot of weight up or down at a fast pace for it to distort.
btw - like the tat!
