A few hours ago I asked for views on where to get my tattoo… either on leg or arm, and there were soo many negative comments. While I respect everyones views, I was very shocked to read some degrading comments about the location saying it is skanky or trashy.

so i'd like to know why people have such extremely negative views of these locations for a tattoo.
Answer: Welcome to the tattoo forum! There are some great people here but sadly they are often drowned out by the morons who come here with nothing but abuse. I really don't get why they do it but I've just learnt to live with it. I guess you need thick skin to have tattoos anyway! Don't let it get to you, in fact, laugh at them. They're cowardly losers who use the anonymity of their personal screens to state the things they don't dare say in real life.
Some people out there think tattoos in any location make a woman trashy. Personally, I don't purchase that ANY location can automatically make someone a tramp I just don't see how something as innocent as where someone chooses to put a piece of art on their bodies can define their entire personality - and yes, that includes lower back. (And if you’re of the view that lower back tattoos make a person a whore but yet are complaining about this then you are a hypocrite my dear! It's all just flesh!). So anyway, you just have to rise above people like that. You'll never ever keep everybody happy in life so you may as well look out for yourself! Do the opinions of such shallow, judgemental people matter to you? No, because they're lowlife and not worth listening to. So get your tattoo and wear it with pride - and for what it's worth I think both locations are great! I don't have my legs tattooed as of yet but I love my upper arm tattoos!
Answer: Tattoo haters love to come to the tattoo section and tell you how tattoos are trashy, how you'll never find a good job, or you'll regret it when your 80. I was actually at a bookstore the other day and as I was waiting in line I actually caught a women standing next to me staring at one of my tattoos in disgust and the tattoo was in no means vulgar or offensive so what did I do? I just smiled at her and didn't bother giving her another look. People are going to be cruel but it's up to you to just turn the other cheek and that can be hard but people who are so shut minded are not worth your time. I have my neck, inner wrists, outer wrist and feet tattooed and I am not trashy or look like a whore! ha and if people are going to right away judge me by my ink then guess what? I don't need them in my life! So good luck w/ your tattoo and it will look great no matter where you decide to place it!
Answer: I’ve no idea why anyone would state that those tats or those locations were “skanky or trashy”…just people getting their frustrations out on a person they know nothing about, basically.
A bunch of morons get on the web thinking they're going to piss off another person as much as they’re pissed off - there you go.
I like your tat and the placement. I say go for it!
Answer: There was such negatively about tats a few years go…and ppl put down things they have no experience with. I get nasty looks from ppl all the time because of my ink. They dismiss me as a druggie or a mean person, which couldn't be further from the truth.
Get what makes you happy. That's the most important part.
I don't get why ppl who hate tattoos, answer questions under this category. I hate religion, so avoid R&S. Astounding!
Answer: RebRay is stupid. How the f.u.c.k are tattoos sin? I say get them. Love the Veronicas and their ink is super sexy. I'm planning on getting mine on the back of my leg (I think it's a hot spot, and simple to cover up if the need arises) and I love the tats. They're not skany or trashy in the least; my boyfriend's cousin (a girl) has a d.i.c.k 'cleverly' disguised as a castle on her belly button. That's slutty. Those aren't. Go for it.
Answer: Well, you might want to take into consideration that although this is a tattoo section, a massive part of the audience are young people, some of them trying to be jerks. They're just that age.
Answer: Some people really like tattoos and think about them body art and others hate them and call them bodily mutilation. It's all a matter of personal preference.
Answer: The real question is, why do YOU have such a massive problem with that?
who cares what they think… if you enjoy it , then get it !
Answer: I love them, I actually love pin-up girl ink, I just wouldn't get one myself.
But I think Jess and Lisa work their ink really well.
Answer: does it matter what people think? be you! unless you really wanna know, its human nature to be *** holes!
Answer: tattoo=sin
